Competition Rules
General Rules
- All players must be RCCC registered for their club. The RCCC database will be checked
as soon as possible. - All games will be 8 ends or the bell.
- The 5 stone Free Guard Zone rule will apply. The no tick rule will not apply.
- In the event of a tie, ends won will count. If this does not produce a winner, each team
will select one player to throw one stone skipped and swept, with nearest the button
proclaimed the winner. This is to be repeated if required. - In the Local and Area Finals an extra end will be played to determine the winner if time
allows. If this does not produce a winner, each team will select one player to throw one

signatures. - Score cards will be collected by an Area Representative at the end of the game.
Substitute Rule
All teams are asked to nominate the four names of their core team prior to the first game to
the Area Secretary. Any team not nominating their core team prior to the first game will be
taken as the four team members at that first game. In all games a minimum of two of the four
nominated players must play. Unlimited numbers of substitutes can be used provided at
least two of the nominated team play in every game. Substitutes cannot have played for
another club/team in this competition. The defaulting team will be disqualified. The game will
be played and started on time. The non-offending team will go through to the next round of
the competition.
Penalty Rules

Area Secretary, Opposition, and Ice Rink concerned. The defaulting team may also be
responsible for ice fees. - If a match is to be re-arranged, the ice rink may waive the initial ice fee. If this fee is not
waived, the defaulting team re-arranging the match is liable for the fee. Re-arranged
matches must be played prior to the date of the next round and details of the re-
arranged matches must be passed on to the Area Secretary. - Non-appearance of team or teams. The offending team/s will be liable for the full cost of
the ice. The non-offending team will go through to the next round of the competition.
