Working in partnership with Scottish Curling, Curl Dundee are delighted to have been awarded funding from Sportscotland, aimed at developing, sustaining and growing the sport of curling within the Dundee city region. This award will help fund the appointment of a new Curling Outreach Officer, to sustain and build on the excellent progress made by our many volunteers in the last few years.
Working with our partner organisations such as D&A Sports & Fitness, University of Dundee, Abertay University , Dundee Active Schools, and Dundee Ice Arena many other local volunteer groups, particular focus will be placed on engaging young people through schools and junior programmes, supporting women’s curling and developing inclusive opportunities for those with disabilities. The role will support the continued development of links within schools, colleges, and universities, helping address barriers such as transport and increasing access to our sport for young people from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds.
